Another year, another blog... yup - I'm back. I never know for how long... it depends on whether I get frustrated with the whole blogging thing again. I shouldn't now though, I have my iPhone, and I should be able to update from there now... I hope.
So, some updates a la bullet format:
- I still work in the same job - just as a manager now (although I'm not getting paid my increase yet). I'm being told that it's coming - but then again, so is Armageddon.
- Ray-dawg is in hockey again this year. He's kicking butt - scored a goal this past weekend. Also he's doing well in school since we moved to the new house. I'm very happy for him.
- Ray-dawg is also giving us attitude after weekends away at his dad's. I hope that we have nipped that in the butt, but probably not. He's a boy and my kid - so he's going to be opinionated. *sigh* That IS my fault...
- ALRO is still the same... you can see him at his own blog. He'll let you know what's going on in his world.
- ALRO got me a video camera for x-mas. So, you may see some clips of hockey or other nonsense shit on here...
- No pregnancy yet. We're working on it. More tests with the doctors to make sure the plumbing isn't plugged... updates as they become available.
This past weekend was rather hellish. We had to drive all over the city to accommodate my ex. He was stranded in Ottawa without his vehicle because he works for a local trucking company that was doing jobs in the city all week.
I drove Ray-dawg to the motel that his father was staying at (the company puts him up) and was advised that I would have to pick them up there in order for Ray-dawg to not miss his hockey game on Saturday. So I did. Aren't I nice??!! *smirks*
After the hockey game is when all the excitement started - we had to drive around, with them in the back seat, to try to find someone to take Ray-dawg while my ex slept at the motel. Pause here... why the hell didn't he just come back with us??!!
So after that fiasco was done, we made it home safely - and played Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) until later that evening.
Sunday (yesterday) I go back to the motel (noticing a trend here, I'm doing all the driving) and pick Ray-dawg up. He has misplaced some of his Nintendo DS games in one of the transports that he was hauled around in all weekend - and doesn't know where his swimming trunks went to.
*calming breath*
I drive away just wanting to get home and Ray-dawg is asleep in the first five minutes. When we got home, there was no argument from him to go straight to bed. So, at 6:30 pm, he was sleeping and at 7 am (the time at this very instant) he is still not up... poor little boy...
The more things change, the more they stay the same...
